Egan's are a family focused firm of Funeral Directors. We provide a personal service that meets the needs of grieving families. Our experienced and professional staff are trained to provide the professional guidance.

Our Mission is to provide a dignified professional service. As part of this service we continually confer with the family of the deceased and always implement where possible the wishes of the family.

Our purpose built funeral home has an Eco-Friendly heating system and is energy efficient. In addition to this Egan's use a wood pellet stove in the foyer of the funeral home. This premises was built on a green field site at the North end of the town of Youghal. We plan to provide ample parking with 100 car spaces. This funeral home will include two chapels, a family room & state of the art modern facilities, but we have taken great care to make sure that we retain a homely and personal atmosphere.

Arranging the funeral of a loved one is an extremely traumatic time. There are many choices to be made and often it is easier to make them at your own convenience. Individual families are given our individual attention and every effort is made to ensure that the funeral service is meaningful and personal to the family concerned.

History
In the late 1880's John & Martha Dill, Furniture Manufacturers in Youghal, Co. Cork, began making coffins, and in 1890 as an extension of this activity, began offering an Undertaking service to the people of Youghal and the surrounding area. The Egan family acquired the business in the 1930's. In 1999 Colin Bulman joined this firm as the in-house embalmer, and in 2002 he became a partner in the business. In 2006 Colin Bulman acquired the business.

Our professional team includes:

Colin Bulman   As a Funeral Director with many years experience and has been to the forefront in the design and project management of the new Funeral Home in Greencloyne. Colin trained with O'Connor Brother's at North Gate Bridge. Previous to this he qualified as an Embalmer at the David McGowan in Ballina. During his training Colin gained a lot of insight into the Embalming Profession Internationally.

Bill Cotter   Is a Funeral Director originally from Aglish, Co. Waterfrod. Bill has many years experience has a vast local knowledge of the area. He well know locally, and he brings vast experience and professionalism.

Pat Cooney   Another professional Funeral Director Originally from Mayo, who also brings has many years experience.

Annette Bulman   Annette manages the Administration of the business.
